Daniel Shanks (November 2006-Present) Assists with the VideosForFamily.com in the area of Professional Video Production & Writing

Daniel is originally from southern CA, and now lives in Houston, Texas. He has a great interest in Animation, currently extending his knowledge in the computer animation and fine arts in college. His interest in The Sims 2 computer program has inspired/encouraged him to experiment in movie making as it has a function where you can capture video in-game. He is utilizing this program to make his own adaptation of The Wizard of Oz which is pretty exciting.  He has a lot of interests that are educational and beneficial to his well being. Through the years his variety of interests such as; visual arts, creative writing, singing, piano, gymnastics, and  theater have all contributed, building his experience and developing a good foundation in order to continue his passion. He says, "As I grew up everyone noticed my skill in visual art", which I'm sure has also made a big impact on him. He feels his biggest strength is in conceptual design. After he took a series of examinations called the aptitude test he discovered his natural talent in Ideaphoria (idea making). "It helps a lot, to have ideas while being an artist at the same time. I love it when I get that constant flow of ideas really helps and that is partially why I love storytelling in any form. These days I'm not so much of an attention getter (in person) so I'm not doing theater or singing as much, I was introduced to that by my mother." Art and writing are correlated with his main goals and he is currently pursuing them using these talents full heartedly with the wonderful talented group of people, with the team here at VideosForFamily.com He is very excited about the Oz tour that is in production, with Aaron Pacentine and the rest of those involved. He will be working and brining out a new look of animation on Oz though the different shows that will be performed, live during the stage productions.
