Beyond The Rainbow To Oz Panel

In the second week of August 2008, several prominent members of the Oz community came together to record a panel celebration the 10th anniversary of Elaine Willingham's BeyondTheRainbow2Oz.com web site.

We join Elaine Willingham is the founder and proprietress of this web site and the company. It is even a mail order company that sells Judy Garland and Wizard of Oz collectibles, they have been in business since 1985. Over the years Elaine's company Beyond the Rainbow has hosted several Oz Rendezvous as they are called :) These events, have been at such legendary places such as the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and even the Culver Hotel in Culver City, California. One of the very special events in the late 1990s was the Dorothy Gage Memorial Garden event in Bloomington, Illinois. That was a very special event and you'll hear much more in detail about that in the panel.

Next up is Kurt Raymond. Kurt is known as an Oz impressionists and Wicked Witch impersonator and performs nationally and many different Oz events and venues across the country as the Witch. He can be seen in the two and three disc collectors set of the Wizard of Oz that was released by Warner Brothers in 2005. He was filmed for one of their documenters, "THE LEGACY OF OZ".

Stephen Sisters was involved with many of the early events Elaine had put on during her company's founding and beginning. He also created a wonderful scale model of muchkinland and professionally created Kurt Raymond's broom that he uses in many of his performances. The muchkinland model was our co-cover story on our first issue of the former newsletter Beyond the Rainbow Collector's Exchange back in 1991.
