Richard “Dick” Rolfe - Co-Founder, CEO - The
Dove Foundation
In 1991, Dick Rolfe launched The Dove
Foundation (dove.org) , a nonprofit advocacy organization committed to moving
Hollywood in a more family-friendly direction. For over 16 years, Rolfe has made
Hollywood the focus of his work, building relationships with studio executives,
producers, directors, and writers; encouraging them to create more movies and
television shows that are suitable for family viewing. He also directed The
Dove Foundation’s landmark, multi-year studies examining the correlations
between film ratings and profitability. Prior to his work with Dove Foundation,
Rolfe held senior management positions in radio, television and magazine
publishing. In 1993, he produced “Hollywood's Impact on Family Values,” a
television special hosted by entertainment legend Steve Allen.
Rolfe has served on advisory boards for FoxFaith, Mott Children’s Hospital at The University of Michigan Medical Center; Prime Time Today, a media literacy organization. He is also a member of Biola University’s Studio Taskforce. Dick and his wife Mary reside in western Michigan, near their three grown children and their families.

I was in a theater yesterday watching a movie that is for kids. A particular scene came on that was risky to say the least. Evie Karlsson, (Popular Christian Artist in Ministry)
Evie
Karlsson, was one of biggest popular Christian Artists of the 1970s and early
1980s! She has released 20 + albums in the US as well as
several in the
Scandinavian language (and in
Sweden) It's a great joy to have her a part
of Videos For The Family, and to have interviewed her. She is known for many
songs, but most loved for, "PASS IT ON", "GIVE THEM ALL TO JESUS", and "MIRROR".
She first began her music career, while visiting Norway with her family. Aside
from releasing many albums with Word Records, she also released a number in the
Norwegian language. In the early 1980s Pelle and Evie Karlsson felt the Lord's
leading to join the "SKY ANGEL DOMINION NETWORK". The Lord used them both in a
might way. While there, they recorded a few other albums. A few years ago the
Karlsson Family left SKY ANGEL, and continue to pursue ministry as a family in
other areas of music. They are still loved today more then ever, and Evie
albums are still being hunted down and collected by her fans. We are pleased so
many of her fans come to Videos For The Family in search of these albums.

providing family oriented, family fun movies, all I can say to that is: Praise

Joshua
is a personal friend of mine and supporter and viewer of Videos For The
Family. He just finished his Freshman year at college and is now a Spoh. He
gives a great perspective and view on movies and television today. I think
you will all enjoy his thoroughness and the answers he gives to the
questions I asked him during the interview I (Aaron) did with him.

professional illustrator as well. Aside from the many Oz books he has written he
is best known for his book, "AGE OF BRONZ
E".
This by far is Eric's most popular book and it has since become a wonderful
comic book series. It details the wonderful ancient times of the Trojan War
retold for the now 21st
century! Eric founded the publishing company Hungry Tiger Press and it's a wonderful resource for educational books as well as the Oz books he has published through his company as well. We are please to have Eric Shanower represented here at Videos For The Family. We'll have Eric back on our site for another interview in the months ahead.
The Chittenango Foundation, Inc. exists to promote the knowledge of L. Frank Baum, his many OZ books and promote reading in our schools. We have grown from just an organization, to one having a storefront in the center of the village. We will someday buy/build a full-fledged museum to house all of L. Frank Baum’s works. Our annual fundraiser is an OZFest celebrating the life and times of Baum. We have special guests including original Munchkins, authors and relatives. Community service is what makes our village look to the future.
